I've been busy.

The PS3 Store Is Shutting Down... So I'm Finally Tackling My Backlog

I'm not gonna lie...

The announcement that the PS3 Store is finally shutting down lit a fire under my ass.

Not because I think the console suddenly becomes worthless. Quite the opposite.

It reminded me that nothing online lasts forever.

Today it's the PlayStation Store. Tomorrow it's another online service. Eventually, multiplayer servers start disappearing, DLC becomes harder to get, and trophy lists become impossible to complete.

That's just how this hobby works.

So instead of letting my PS3 collect dust, I've decided it's finally time to work through the backlog.

Why I'm Going Back

The PS3 has some of my favorite games of all time.

There are still trophy lists I've never finished.
Games I've always meant to play.
Hidden gems I bought years ago and never even installed.

I've spent plenty of time chasing the newest releases, but this feels like the right excuse to go back and appreciate one of PlayStation's greatest generations before more pieces of it disappear.

The Clock Is Ticking

Even if you've already bought everything you wanted digitally, the reality is that online functionality doesn't last forever.

Servers eventually go offline.

Online trophies become unobtainable.

Multiplayer communities shrink.

The games themselves aren't going anywhere if you own physical copies, but parts of those experiences absolutely will.

I'd rather look back knowing I finished the games I cared about than regret putting them off for another five years.

One thing led to the next.

Crusafitch Productions: Then vs Now

Crusafitch Productions started years ago in Los Angeles as a video production company. The goal back then was simple — make films, sell scripts, break into the industry.

Life changed.
I changed.

But the name stuck.

Now Crusafitch Productions is something completely different — overlays, apps, tools, merch, experiments, and ideas that didn’t come from a pitch deck or a boardroom. They came from showing up and building.

No roadmap.
No permission.
No safety net.

Just commitment, effort, and a willingness to look stupid while learning.

And the wild part?
I did all of this on my own.

And honestly… maybe I go back and finally make that movie someday. Because now I know something I didn’t back then:

If I’m willing to commit, I can build almost anything.

None of this exists in a vacuum.
